Thermal effects in mechatronic systemsIn 2013 content partner Mechatronics Academy introduced the course ‘Thermal effects in mechatronic systems’ (TEMS). The training was an immediate success and two fully booked editions were given by expert lecturers Theo Ruijl and Jack van der Sanden.

Participants recommended the course with an average of 8,3 (on a scale of 1 till 10). They commented the training as “good combination of theory, practical examples and hands on exercises.”, “usefull and interesting”, and “nice way of practising lumped mass modelling (theory vs. practice = ok!)”.

The course focuses on the various aspects related to thermal effects that impact the accuracy of precision modules/systems. After completion of the course, the participants understand the basic aspects, risks and concepts related to thermal effects and judge solutions and implications on system level. The course is intented for mechanical designers, mechatronics system engineers and mechatronic architects.

The next two-day edition of the TEMS-course is planned to start in Eindhoven on the 10th of March. See for more information the website of The High Tech Institute.
