Stress is a normal phenomenon in the world of high tech and technology. Although normal, stress is a threat to your performance, your enjoyment at work and your health. Deliver a maximum performance and still be able to enjoy work and relax. That's the challenge we all face. By understanding your personal stress mechanisms you can learn how to monitor and effectively prevent stress from becoming too much.
- Do you recognise some of these stress signals?
- not sleeping well
- waking up early
- less enjoyment at work, etc.
- Do you realise that stress is too much when it is (too) late?
- Are you not able to prevent stress in a fundamental way?
- Do you have difficulty in relaxing?
- Do you experience difficulty when communicating about stress (e.g. saying 'no' or asking for help)?
If you recognise one or more of these signals and you would like to perform better in a more comfortable way, this training will help you. This course also is valuable for managers who want to learn about stress, who want to recognise stress signals from colleagues and prevent it from becoming a problem.
During the training you will learn how to deal with work pressure and perform optimally not only now, but also in the long run.
For technicians, engineers, architects, project leaders or team leaders and other technology professionals who seek to improve their work pressure management skills in the complex context of innovation and technology.
You will learn the following essential work pressure management tools:
- Recognise personal pre-warning signals;
- Use 'good' stress to perform;
- Prevent 'bad' stress;
- Create new stress-preventing habits;
- On-the-spot relaxation techniques;
- Negotiating techniques about workload.

The training is designed for technology professionals working in the world of high tech and technology. The course is highly practical and theoretically sound. We will work with your personal cases, so you can apply the things you have learned the very next day.
Personal action plan
Part of this training is a personal implementation plan which will help you to apply what you have learnt and fully integrate all newly acquired skills in your work.
Feedback from colleagues
Prior to the training you will undertake a mini 360 degrees enquiry, asking your colleagues what they perceive as strong and weak points regarding how you deal with stress. In the training we will use this as a basis to commence learning.
