The meeting is running late. Points of view are known and are being endlessly repeated. The solution stays out of reach, while feelings run high. The De Bono method ‘Six Thinking Hats’ allows you to overcome the deadlock in situations such as these. Fighting against each other becomes thinking together. Discussion becomes synergy.
Six thinking hats is a practical and easy way of thinking developed by Edward de Bono. It helps people to work together in a simple and effective way, enabling complex problem solving. By using Six thinking hats, meetings and discussions become constructive, creative and more structured. Each hat represents a way of thinking. By using them in a specific order, reaching a widely supported, constructive solution will be fast and fun.
In the course, you will learn how to separate your thought processes into six distinct 'thinking modes' and how to use them in your everyday working environment. The concepts of the Six thinking hats will be explained, and afterwards participants will put the theory into practice. Experiencing the Six thinking hats by first hand and in a safe environment is an important key to success for using it in real-life situations.
