Digital signal processing is a key technology for numerous systems and services. For example, the enhancement, transmission and storage of audio and video signals and speech recognition, the control of systems, telecommunications would be unthinkable without DSP. This course gives the basic theory for this fascinating area.
The lecturer was a senior consultant working in a support group that supported research and development activities within Philips. He studied the theoretical concepts that form the basis of modern DSP and used these concepts to increase the efficiency of all kind of systems that were developed. An increase of the efficiency by a factor of 10 or more has often been demonstrated.
The results of his studies and consultancy have been captured in a book on digital signal processing (that has been published in Dutch, English, German and French).
He trained more than 3000 persons through the DSP course.
